Dixie

Dixie, the energetic 11-year-old chocolate lab, spends her days roaming the fields or lounging in the shade near the barn, eagerly awaiting pets from willing students. She’s also the proud mother of two puppies, Danny and Diamond.

Danny

Danny, the sole yellow lab at Thorberchon Farm, boasts an illustrious lineage as the offspring of Dixie, the nephew of Teddy, and the grandson of Bubba. Known for his friendly nature, Danny is a familiar sight accompanying Dede while she tends to chores around the farm.

Diamond

Diamond, the sister of Danny and the lone black lab at the farm, brings a spirited energy to Thorberchon Farm. At four years old, she adores playful romps with her brother and mother but can’t always be trusted with free reign of the property due to her tendancy to wander off on adventures.

Buddy

Buddy, the latest addition to Thorberchon Farm, is a charming white lab overflowing with sweetness and goofiness. Endearing and affectionate, he adores human company and thrives on attention. As the grand-grandson of the esteemed Bubba, his lineage is rich with heritage.

Chloe

Chloe, our main barn cat, has been a cherished member of Thorberchon Farm for several years. As a rescue, her exact age remains uncertain, but her dedication to keeping the barn free of pests is unwavering. When not on the hunt, Chloe enjoys lounging, playfully engaging with the puppies, and seeking affection from students and their families.

Duke

Duke, our second barn cat, shares a similar rescue background with Chloe. Unlike his sociable counterpart, Duke tends to be more skittish and cautious around visitors. While he may not readily seek out affection, Duke still makes his presence known, especially at mealtime—though he prefers to wait until Chloe is out of sight before approaching for food.

Winnie

Winnie’s journey at Thorberchon Farm began as an abandoned two-and-a-half-week-old kitten, where she was lovingly nurtured around the clock by the farm crew. From bottle feedings to constant care, Winnie flourished under their watchful eyes. Now, she revels in the comforts of life as a house cat, eagerly visiting the barn and its inhabitants on weekends.

There’s a special significance to Winnie’s presence at the farm, beyond her adorable antics and affectionate purrs. It’s no coincidence that she shares her name with one of the farm’s beloved horses. Found exactly two months and nine days after his passing, Winnie was discovered in Winston’s cherished hay shed, as if fate had led her to carry on his legacy in her own endearing way.
